| Light to dark reddish brown, with significant color
variation between boards and a fine, frequently wavy grain
pattern. Domestic Cherry is softer than oak and generally
considered too soft for an entire floor. Therefore, it
is mainly used in borders and accents. Brazilian Cherry
however is harder than Oak. An interesting aspect of Cherry
is that it is light-sensitive, it gets darker with age
(domestic cherry turns a burgundy color). |
